Stanley Chapman was Freddie Thorne's superior. He held two hundred pounds in cash, handed over to the Communist Party by the Russian government. Ada Shelby gave his address to Thomas Shelby and later to Chester Campbell. He was arrested on suspicion of spying and beaten by Sergeant Moss on Campbell's orders until he died from medical complications.
